Are you looking for a nice and easy cocktail that gives the impression you know what you’re doing? Well, I may have just the thing for you! Ticking all the boxes, this exciting combination of vodka, ginger and citrus comes bursting with flavour, and is served in it’s own specially selected copper drinking vessel. So, named for it’s fiery kick, and Slavic potato spirit, let’s launch into the evening’s festivities with a cup of the gloriously thirst-quenching Moscow Mule Cocktail.

Getting the Most Out of Your Moscow Mule Cocktail
Ginger Beer Vs Ginger Ale
You could be easily forgiven for thinking that Ginger Beer and Ginger Ale basically amount to the same thing. However, when it comes to these similarly named beverages, they have very different flavour profiles under the hood. Ginger Ale, essentially has a toned down bite that gives way to a softer and sweeter taste. Despite this, it will still mix well with vodka, with lemon juice providing a better alternative to lime. For the authentic experience, however, a genuine Moscow Mule cocktail relies of the fiery punch that comes with Ginger Beer.
Moscow Mule Variations
For this recipe, I have added rosemary as a garnish, however, if you want to add an elegant depth of flavour to the drink, you can try squeezing the leaves and stirring it into the cocktail. In addition, I have another special Extra Fiery Mule recipe that uses fresh chili peppers to turn that kick into an altogether new experience! For this variation, chop a whole lime into around 6 pieces, then muddle it in a cocktail shaker with a whole chopped hot red chili. Then, add your vodka and a couple of ice cubes and give it a good shake, before straining it over ice, and topping up with ginger beer. Furthermore, for an added exotic feel, you can also try scoring a stick of lemongrass with a sharp knife to release the flavours, and using it to stir the drink!
